The Executive Governor of Ondo State, Rotimi Akeredolu has emerged successfully as the governorship candidate of the Ondo State All Progressives Congress (APC) Guber primary as he scored a total vote of 2458 votes to defeat the other nine aspirants in the election on Monday.
Gov. Akeredolu emerged the winner of the APC Guber primary defeat two aspirants, IfeOluwa Oyedele and Olusegun Abraham had earlier stepped down for Akeredolu in the election.
Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi state, who is the chairman of the election, announced the result after voting, sorting, and counting of the votes.
In his acceptance speech, Governor Akeredolu thanked the Chairman and the committee members for conducting the election in a free and fair manner.
The National Leader of the party, Bola Tinubu, and other leaders of the APC for their support, He also appreciates President Muhammadu Buhari.
The Governor also commends the state leadership of APC as well as all the delegates.
Akeredolu, however, expressed assurance that comes October, 10th 2020, All Progressives Congress, APC, will carry the day.
