The Justice Salami-led presidential panel examining the systems of Mr. Ibrahim Magu, the suspended acting chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC, began again today.
Mr. Ibrahim is been examined over apparent mismanagement of recovered properties by the EFCC between “May 2015-May 2020”, a process accelerated by statements against him by Mr. Abubakar Malami, the Attorney General and Minister of Justice.

Sources intimate to the presidential panel notified Channels Television that the committee at today’s proceeding pledged to give Mr. Magu decent hearing in the procedure of reviewing the allegations grounded against the embattled anti-graft manager
At today’s hearing channels TV collected that Mr. Magu petitioned that the proceeding be reported on video or documented but it was declined.
The committee is remarked to have told Mr. Magu that the medium of the sitting is provisional and thus it is difficult to install video documenting equipment.
The panel, nonetheless, pledged that it will be fair in its strategy and procedure of what it says its a fact-finding goal and not a prosecution.
When correspondents pursued to find out about the proceedings of today from Mr. Magu’s adviser, Mr. Wahab Shittu, he explained that Magu believes the long-standing honesty of the chairman of the committee Justice Salami and will amount to something on its pledge to be fair in the treatment of the inquiry.
Mr Magu, who was first charged a few weeks ago in Abuja by a squad of police officers, who pulled him to the capitol to emerge before the Justice Ayo Salami-led presidential investigative council, had argued about what he called tragic handling of his investigation for alleged fraud, saying he has accordingly been paraded like a popular criminal.
He has since refuted all allegations grounded against him.
