The President and founder of the movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra, MASSOB, Chief, Ralph Uwazurike, has once again expresses his regret for leaving Radio Biafra for Nnamdi Kanu to managed. Saying, “It is a big mistake from my own end leaving Nnamdi Kanu to manage Radio Biafra”.
Uwazurike made this statement in an interview on Tuesday, March 9, 2021.
According to the MASSOB’s leader, the main objective for the establishment of ‘Radio Biafra’ was to create awareness and make the world to know what truly the Igbo people are going through in Nigeria, adding that Kanu hijacked it for a different mission for his selfish interests.
“That is why I am worried about how things have turned out. I am worried that some people I recruited into the struggl have turned it into a violent movement.
“If you give another chance, I won’t make the mistake again. It was a huge mistake because he is now using it now to cause crisis in Igboland and getting our people killed.
“Also, there were instances where, perhaps, out of carelessness, some youths died. If I have another chance, I wouldn’t let that repeat itself.
“But the most glaring is the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, situation where the person I asked to manage the Radio Biafra started using it to cause problems for people, insulting his elders and everyone that cautions him and using it to mobilize youths against the society,”
Meanwhile, Uwazuruike recently called on the south-east governors to take over the ESN launched by Kanu.
Although, the Inspector-General of Police, IGP, Abubakar Adamu, recently asked Igbo politicians, religious bodies, and traditional leaders to caution IPOB and ESN on their activitie in the southeast region of Nigeria.
