The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to ensure the panel sets to probe the suspended Economic and Financial Crime Commission, acting Chairman, Ibrahim Magu should be transparent for all Nigerians to see and those involved in the sharing of the alleged N39 billion should be exposed.
Meanwhile, the EFCC said Magu was going to the Police Headquarters “for a meeting,” the presidential panel was said to have extended its probe into properties alleged to have been acquired by the suspended EFCC boss in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
It was reportedly the team of security officials searched Magu’s homes on Tuesday in Abuja and were said to have left with some documents.
However, It was not confirmed if anything incriminating was found during the search.
The Presidency stated that Magu’s probe reinforced the commitment of the Buhari administration to transparency and accountability.
