He went further to state that he is discussing with his lawyer on how best to approach his suspension as the National Chairman of the party. When he was asked if he will be heading to the Supreme Court to challenge the judgement, he said he cannot say such on national TV stating his lawyers are in the best position to advice him on what to do. The former Edo State Governor said that he has obeyed the court ruling by staying away from the NWC activities.

He went further to say that the judiciary has been his only hope when people oppressed him. The Edo born politician said that it was through court judgement that he became the Governor of Edo State. On the chairmanship crisis that the party has witnessed after his suspension, he said that Chief Victor Giadom who claims that he is the Acting National Chairman doesn’t understand the workings of the party.

He asked how someone who is just the Deputy National Secretary will become the National Chairman of the party when the Deputy, and Vice Chairmen are available. It could be recalled that three people have reportedly assumed office as the National Chairman of APC.

They are Senator Abiola Ajimobi, Chief Victor Giadom and Hilliard Eta. APC may not have a candidate in Edo State Governorship election in November if it doesn’t organize itself and conduct a primary within INEC’s stipulated time frame.
